If you keep changing
directions on him, with out telling him
or begging him to stay near you, he
will learn that he needs to pay attention
to you and not be doing his own thing
when you are out walking.

When you change directions on him without
letting him know what you are going to do,
it makes him take notice. If you are
consistent in doing this, he will soon
be at your side because he won't know
what you are going to do next. This
way, you are in charge, not your dog.
It is important that he knows you are
in charge. Just by a simple change of
direction, you can achieve that.
Neat, huh?!

A Simple Training Tip

How To Get Your Dog's Attention

How To Get Your Dog's Attention

The very first step in any training session is
to make sure you get your dog's attention.

Sit, Stay, Fetch explains how to do that in very simple
terms. It is one way of getting
his attention.

You should get a choker chain that is bigger
than your dog's neck. This is not a collar
that stays on without you being around. It
is called a choker chain, because when you
apply pressure it does just that, it chokes
the dog. But when you release the pressure,
the chain should also release. You only
use this as a training tool. And you only
choke the dog for a second or two...this is
not a long time application. You just get
his attention and then release the choke.

When you put the choker chain on your dog,
make sure that it makes the letter "P" when
you look at it. Slip the wide part of the
"P" over the dog's neck. When you pull it
tight and then release, it should also
release. If you have it on upside down, the
choker chain will not release and then it
will be a cruel tool.

This has been a great tool for me and Scooby.
He walks quietly by my side, and does not
run out away from me unless allowed to do so.

It has taken all the pulling out of our walks.

If you haven't tried a choke chain, or a choke
collar, and you have a rambunctious dog, you
might want to try it.

Again, the choke chain is much longer than a
regular collar. You don't leave this on your
dog when you are not working with him, and
it should release when you release it.

Have fun with your dog.

Tip On Using A Choker Chain

Dog Training Tip Of The Day

Dog Training Tip Of The Day

Hey one of the best dog training tips you
can get is to not treat your dog as a
human. We walk
around the neighborhood. I enjoy seeing
the sites and he enjoys sniffing to find
out what passed that way before him.

Scooby is a Walker Hound. He was trained
to hunt mountain lions. He didn't do it
very well, so my friend gave him to me
rather than put him down. I have enjoyed
Scooby. He has kind eyes. He doesn't
bark much--my husband appreciates that,
and he seems genuinely happy with life.
He is afraid of gun shots and loud noises.
I suppose he had enough of them when he
was out on patrol.

Scooby is not a real affectionate dog.
But, he is appreciative. I enjoy him.

When I want him to do something, I must
make sure I have his attention. I think
he must have ADD. He can just tune me
out. However, when I have his attention,
he gladly cooperates with me.

To learn how to better get your dog's
attention, check out Sit, Stay, Fetch.
I bet you will be happy that you did.

Come Here Dog--Come Scooby

Dog Training Is Easy

Dog Training Is Easy

Get easily implemented instructions here.

Dog training is easy when you know what you
are doing. Right, so that is why you are
looking up "dog training" on the Internet,
because you are not confident in what you
are doing with your dog and he just jumps
all over you--whether he is a chihuahua or
a Great Dane, right? Makes a bit of difference
to you what size he is, but the attitude and
perception of the dog is the same. What you
need is to be shown the way to train your
dog easily, so that you will keep at it,
and so that the dog responds.

The trainer you choose to help you train
your dog, must do two things.

1. Be able to explain to you how to train
your dog so you understand and can easily
do it.

2. His methods actually have to work.

Daniel is a dog trainer that can do just that.
See what a couple of people have said about
his work:

"...I am enjoying it very much. I have
a 5 and a half month old lab pup and everything
is going great with him. Your advice has been
used to great affect with him. If you allow him to jump up
on your friends, soon it will be just you
and your dog...If you allow him to chew
your old clothes, soon you will have nothing
in the closet to wear...If you allow him
to bark at everything, soon the police will
be knocking on your door asking you to
control your dog.

Great, you got the dog to have a companion,
maybe for protection, and it just doesn't
seem to be working out. Does that mean
you have to get rid of him? NO, you
just have to learn how to train him.

Where can you go for such training?

There is a dog trainer named Daniel.
He "covers the subject areas with such
detail that it is hard to find a scenario
that is not covered in this book. Fixing
general disobedience such as digging,
chewing and barking is dealt with, as
well as explaining and curing aggression
problems, and even introducing a dominance
treatment program for those dogs that
require it. The list of possible problems
seems endless, yet Daniel seems to have an
explanation for all of them.

The information is well laid out and concise,
much more so than many other books on the market.
There is always the danger with such a volume of
information that finding a specific area can be
hard. No such problem here. The division of
exercises and techniques into the nine tutorials
is well thought out, and a quick glance through
the table of contents will identify where in the
book you need to be. This is particularly useful
for a training guide that you will come back to
several times.

The bonus e-books that come with this package
add to the wealth of information already in here.
They include:

“Dog Grooming Made Easy”
“Tips On How To Security Train Your Dog”
“All The House Training Methods And Tricks”
“Secrets To Becoming The Alpha Dog”

You don’t have to be a dog training expert to
understand and apply this information. It
explains every thing really well, and the
photo sequences aid the execution of the
lesson greatly. Perhaps the best thing is
that you can download Dog Obedience Training
and all the bonus books to your computer and
be training your dog or fixing your dog's
behavior in minutes." So, where can you find
this book? Here.

With training you and your dog will be
welcomed and you both will be a pleasure to be
around.

So, God Speed with your dog training.

Is It Your Dog, Or Is It You?

Train Your Dog

Train Your Dog

*Warning!*
Your dog may be driving you up the wall right now!
Sick of having no control over your dog?
The solution is in front of you!
You can TRANSFORM your dog’s behavior right now!

My dog, Scooby, was trained to be a lion hunting
dog before I got him. He used to run after
everything and jump up on people and was just
rather embarrassing to me. I loved him, but
he was just a mess. However now, he will walk
quietly on a leash and not even run after the
rabbits that we flush out of the brush on our
walks unless told he can. What a pleasure to
be with him now.
